Personality: "the quality of being a person; existence as a self-conscious human being; personal identity."
Self Concept:
"the idea or mental image one has of oneself and one's strengths, weaknesses, status, etc.; self-image."
Personality is the qualities that a person has, self concept is how a person portrays an image about itself.
These days individuals as persuaded to by products and services which are branded to increase their self image. Media plays a big role in persuading consumers to think these items are a necessity of life.

In the lecture, Ruth introduced a personality chart on brands. With regards to chocolates the chart was analysed. This was a useful lecture on personality and self concept.
